Sliding

We went sliding on an awesome hill with some friends. About 50 min. north. We had sooo much fun. Mia got tired part way through but she is almost back to Mia-normal. I know there are a lot of pictures to follow but I wanted to show eveyone how much fun we had. AND that we have snow here too!

Even the big kids played!

We had a few snowball fights, none I won I must say! I had a ton of fun playing around in the snow. I also have to say that snow down your back doesn't feel any better at 35 then it did as a kid.

Cody trying to be a gentlemen.

Cody was trying his hardest to pull Leach up the hill. His dad decided to help him out. Loook at the smiles on everyones faces. This is a great picture to define the experience.

Fun was had by ALL!

We had a fantastic time sliding. It was nice to play in what I call eastern snow which we don't see much.

Tyler trying to go down standing up.

Tyler was urged by his father to try this. He tried a few times, each time going a little further.

Lexy was trying to pull Mia up the hill. Leach wanted to go and help Lexy. Mia decided she didn't want to carry the sled so she threw it down the hill. Leach went to get it and as soon as she handed it to Mia, Mia sent it down the hill again. Joe Schmuck (what the man said I should refer to him as) went down to carry the sled up but by this time Leach was frustrated with Mia and he ended up helping pull Mia too.

The end of our day of sliding!

By the end of the day the 3 girls were crawling up the hill. Lexy had lost her glove and Mia went to get it for her. This is a blessing I'm sure I will have to point out to them repeatedly as they are growing up, that they have 2 best friends to play with whenever they want.

Where we've been!

I know it's been a while since I've posted. Life has been CRAZY the month of Dec. Amelia was sick and ended up in the hospital for an extended stay because of a ruptured apendix. She is better now. I'm so thankful to the poeple who had her in their thoughts and prayers and to those who helped me in this trying time. We felt loved by family and friends near and far!

Skating FUN!

We had an awesome time Sat. afternoon. We went skating, well some of us tried to skate( Savannah, me after some persuading)! Fortunately for me and you, there are no pictures of me trying to skate. Here is a picture I took as Scot helped Savannah try to get her footing around the rink a few times. See if you can tell which one of the girls is taking a break? I can't wait to go again, I had forgotten how much fun it was.

Nana's visit.

We had a great week. Nana was here for 9 days. We enjoyed her time with us and were sad to see her go. We played games, saw some scenery and even managed to do some shopping. Thank you for coming to see us mom. We love you.

Savannah's Play

We were SOOO excited to go see savannah in a musical this week. She did an amazing job. Here are a few of the pictures I took. She had two duets and a ton of lines. I'm so proud of her.

Fun in the leaves

We wanted to send Papa a picture of all of us in the sweatshirts he sent us from Texas, where he has been working to repair hurricane damage. Thank you Papa. We love you! It's a good thing you don't have a favorite college football team because we would be tortured if we had on anything other then BYU here! The good thing is BYU colors are the same as the Cowboys!

HALLOWEEN

We did the theme of Peter Pan. We all had a great time. The three little ones were ready to be done after about 45 min. The oldest two were wanting to go to every house they could. We compromised and stayed out for 30 more min. and then as we walked home I let the oldest two run to the houses. For that last 30 min. I had to INSIST that the little ones go to a few houses. I finally gave up and they just held my hand and we walked slowly so that the others could keep up.

A new addition.

We got a newer vehicle this week. I love it! I'm so very thankful for it. This week is Spirit week at school for the kids. Today was Crazy 80's day!

Funny Things kids say!

I know it's been a while and I apologize for that as you know life just gets busy sometimes. I was updating a list, I've been keeping of some things the kids say, tonight. I thought I'd share some with you.

Amelia brought me a container of Heavy cream (we were out of milk) and asked me if she could use it. I said "no!". she said "what is it?" I told her she didn’t need to know. After she persisted, I told her. She lifted it up and said “ it doesn’t feel heavy to me!”

Savannah walked up to me and pointed to Scot in the apricot tree and said “ Mommy is he plumbing the tree”? (pruning) Had he done it a month earlier I may have said it was plum ing but it was at the prune stage for sure.

Happy Birthday Amelia, Alexis and Alicia

We had a big day on Friday, My babies turned 6! I've made it through another year! Scot and Cody came to help celebrate. Gaye and Karl (the kids Utah, Grandma and Grandpa)came over for cake and ice cream. The girls received some beautiful princess cards that Tee-Tee and Nana made (in Vermont), that they loved. We tossed water balloons. They had a great day. The night before when I tucked them into bed I said this is your last night as a 5 year old. Alicia said "But I'll miss being 5!" It was so cute.

BOWLING

Sat. morning we met Scot, Cody, and Tyler for a fun day that started with bowling!

Look for Riley in the back of Savannah. I tried to get him a few times between me bowling at the same time as him and him not wanting to wait I didn't get a picture of him bowling. We all had a blast.
